I’m back! Can you believe it? I didn’t realize my blogging would be the thing to suffer so when I had my third child. Now that my little man is getting bigger and will let me put him down, I am getting back into the swing of things. I was lucky enough to get to photograph this little one over the snowy weekend. His face was just so cute it wasn’t hard to pick out images for his gallery, he was so sweet in all of them. This session is more typical of a hospital session.
A little bit of heaven
Drifted down from above –
A handful of happiness,
A heart full of love.
The mystery of life,
So sacred and sweet
The giver of joy
So deep and complete.
Precious and priceless,
So lovable, too
The world’s sweetest miracle,
Baby boy, is you.

I love photographing newborns, especially the tiny little ones that just can’t help but sleep. This little guy was an angel for his photos. Dad likes tools so we put him in his lumberjack suit and took a couple with his tools all around him. Really sweet boy and adorable doting parents. Thank you for letting come into your home to capture some of these first memories of Connor.

My Cabott – Farmington Baby Photographer Cortney Jones October 31, 2011

Filed under: Baby,Bouncin' Babies,Farmington,hands,Newborn,Studio — Bouncin' Baby Photography @ 1:43 pm

As many of you know I was expecting my third child in September…well here he is in all his new baby bliss. After a very long time of trying to decide on a name we chose Cabott. There is something about him that is quite intoxicating for me. I love to breath him in and snuggle close. He spends most of the day in our big bed so it was fitting to take photos of him there. Pure white for pure innocents made for really beautiful images. This was a very different style for me. It pushes me to both expand my skills and to learn new technical methods really making these some of my favorite kind of photos.

In-Hospital Newborn Photography July 11, 2011

Cortney Jones brings her experience as an on-location newborn portrait and maternity photographer right to your hospital room to create amazing portraits of the newest addition to your family. Often using the window to take advantage of that great natural light, the portrait session takes place right in front of you. While your baby is the star of this portrait session, any special blankets, hats, or accessories are a welcome addition during the session. Portraits with mom, dad, or other family members can also be accommodated.

If your hospital is contracted with Bouncin’ Baby Photography there is no need to arrange your photo-shoot ahead of time.  Your professional mini photo-shoot will take place in the comfort of your hospital room. Online viewing and ordering is available for 2 weeks to anyone with whom you choose to share your password.

If your hospital is not contracted with Bouncin’ Baby simply call 801.333.3384.  You can book and schedule a session then I will come to your hospital or home within a day or two of your baby’s birth.

PICTURES FROM FIRST DAY PHOTO MAKE A WONDERFUL, LASTING GIFT!

Most baby gifts are only used for a few weeks before baby grows out of them.  So, if you’re a grandparent to be, or a friend, consider giving a unique and thoughtful gift that will be enjoyed for generations.

Hospital newborn sessions are truly special.  The birth of a baby and the precious days that follow are full of breathtaking moments.  As parents, we know how precious those first days are and how quickly they pass, which is why we strive to document the tiny newborn features as they first appear.  Close-ups of baby, tiny hands and toes, and bonding moments with family are priceless memories that we capture during your session.  The newborn stage passes in breathtaking moments and upscale, professional photography will keep those memories flourishing for years to come.

SCHEDULING
Newborn photos are never scheduled too early. Call Bouncin’ Baby Photography if and when you know your baby’s due date to schedule an in-hospital appointment.  If you have a scheduled delivery date or for priority scheduling, please send me an e-mail at cortney@bouncinbabyphotography.com or give me a call at 801.388.3384 to let me know your due date and place of delivery. Add me to your list of people to call or text after the baby is born and we’ll set up the actual session.

If you would prefer to do your session in the comfort of your own home, newborn sessions should be conducted within 2 weeks of baby’s arrival.

PRICING
A $50 deposit fee applies to any newborn or hospital session, for immediate family only.  Additional session fees will apply to sessions outside the 30-mile radius of Farmington Utah.

TIPS for a great photo shoot
In order to best prepare for your newborn photo session, please keep the following suggestions in mind:

–  Bring your favorite baby blanket or afghan from home for use in the photo shoot. Textured blankets look great!  Fuzzy, fluffy and soft photograph very well, and the blanket should be a solid color or have a very simple pattern. Bring a blanket for use as a background or to swaddle your baby.

–  I love to include parent’s hands in our photos.  Wear clear or neutral polish on the day of your shoot.  I want your baby to be the focus of the photos.

–  Bring a solid black, brown or grey shirt or cami  for you to wear in photos.  We may photograph your baby in your arms.  These colors look great in both color and black and white prints.

–  Your baby’s portrait session will also be posted on our password-protected online gallery for easy sharing with family and friends for 2 weeks.

–  I usually photograph baby in just a diaper. Newborns tend to swim in newborn size outfits so there is not need to bring a outfit for your session.  Hats and headbands make an adorable addition to any photo.

–  Boppy® pillows or other support pillows can be a good positioning aid for baby.

How ya doin Red? – Utah Newborn Photography May 26, 2011

Two sets of grandparents, two dogs, cousins, and both parents were all waiting for me when it was time to do little Red’s photos. I did photos with all the grandparents, both as sets and individual photos just with Red. I am not showing any of those images out of respect for the wishes of one very protective grandfather.

Isn’t his red hair just adorable?!

A handsome boy indeed. Thank you to his parents for letting me photograph him and his wonderful family.

Elizabeth – Farmington Utah Photographer Cortney Jones February 3, 2011

Elizabeth happens to be the beloved daughter of one of my dearest friends. Elizabeth’s mother and I are connected in a way few people understand and now that she is a mother, our bond is stronger than ever. Elizabeth is an adorable little girl who is surly going to be the coolest kid in her class, at least once her classmates get wind of her parents profession. Her mother and father are both in the army. Big deal you say…well her mother happens to be brilliant and flies black hawk helicopters and her father is an amazing man in the special forces. Both have already give 10-15 years worth of service and spent time in the war. That’s the biggest deal I can think of 🙂 (and there is always the fact that they made a really cute kid!)

Elizabeth started her session off wide awake and very aware of me and the camera.

Big tough special forces daddy is also a fan of Star Wars. I forgot to mention that Elizabeth full name is Elizabeth Pixie Chewbacca. Not really but her parents haven’t let anyone ever really believe other wise.

Perfect little toes and feet!

At the end of the session she wake up happy and gave me the same look of “did you get my photo?”

Too cute little miss! Wish you guys lived closer. To Elizabeth parents: Thank you for letting me nuzzle and inhale your daughters intoxicating baby scent. She really is just so beautiful.
